Privacy Policy
This page explains what data theresolutecode.com collects, why, how it is stored, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is written in plain English, not legalese.
Who runs this site
Tony Corocher, author of Forging the Resolute Man. Italy.

What this site is
This site is a placeholder for The Resolute Code — the broader brand umbrella that the book Forging the Resolute Man sits inside. While the project is in pre-launch, this page exists to collect email addresses from people who want to know when the full doctrine ships (newsletter, podcast, journal, community — see the book site for the current state).
What we collect, and why
Your email address — only if you submit the signup form. If you type your email into the "Join the list" form and click submit, we save it so we can email you when the project launches and, eventually, when ongoing content begins.
Request metadata — IP and User-Agent. Like any website, our edge (Cloudflare) records request metadata for security and abuse-prevention. This is held in short-retention logs (~30 days) and not linked to identified individuals beyond the minimum needed to enforce rate limits.
Nothing else. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies, no fingerprinting. We do not see what other sites you visited. We do not build a behavioural profile.
How your email is stored and used
Your email is stored in our own database hosted on Cloudflare D1. It is not shared with any third-party email service provider (ESP) at this time. When we send launch / newsletter emails in the future, we will send them ourselves (or migrate the list to a dedicated ESP at that time and update this policy accordingly).
The only purpose is to email you about The Resolute Code project. We do not sell, rent, or share your address with anyone else.
Third parties (sub-processors)
The following service providers are involved in handling your data:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this site, serves the static files, processes form submissions, stores the subscriber list in Cloudflare D1, and transits the per-signup notification email to Tony via Cloudflare Email Routing. Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Proton AG (ProtonMail) — hosts the inbox where Tony receives the per-signup notification email. Your email address is included in that notification, so it transits and is stored in Tony’s ProtonMail mailbox until manually deleted. Proton’s privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
- Your email address: held until you unsubscribe. To unsubscribe at any time, email [email protected] with the subject line "Unsubscribe" and we will remove you within a few days.
- Server / abuse logs: 30 days (Cloudflare default), then deleted.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are an EU/EEA/UK resident (or wherever you live — we extend the same rights to everyone), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
- Deletion ("right to be forgotten") — request that we delete your data, or just click "unsubscribe" on any email
- Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data
- Portability — request your data in a portable, machine-readable form
- Objection — object to certain kinds of processing
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no preference cookies.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected such data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to what data we collect, why, or who we share it with, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. For minor changes (typos, clarifications), we update without notice.
Governing law
Italian law governs this policy. Disputes are subject to the courts of the author’s residence in Italy.
